Pain is a rather complex entity, and often over simplified, or over medicalized.
I listen to where you're at now, as well as where you've been, and help you make sense of your current pain. We then come up with a treatment plan to best fit your needs and get you back to what you enjoy
We take a thorough and non-pharmacological approach to help you move and feel your best. I often combine hands-on manual therapy with pain and movement coaching to help you tackle your current limitations.
We devise a plan together so that you feel confident you can stick with it.
With animal chiropractic, the history from the owner is a very important piece, just as it is with people. I take all your information into account as well as how your partner is physically presenting. Based on their needs, we'll come up with a plan to help them along which may include manual therapy, rehab/conditioning, or collaboration with you veterinarian/farrier.
Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Chiropractic care can vary, however, at In-Stride, the focus is on YOU (or your four-legged partner). It is an excellent adjunctive form of care when utilized correctly, and "adjustments" or "manipulations" are only a potential portion of care. A thorough history and physical exam are conducted to ensure no further evaluation is warranted, and that the complaint is truly musculoskeletal in origin. From there, we build a program of care that caters to the patients, which might include: patient education, soft tissue therapy, mobilizations, spinal manipulation, and rehabilitative movement/exercise programs.
Yes! It depends on your insurance, but many offer coverage. We do not file with insurance, but we will provide you with all of the paperwork that you need to pass on to your insurance.
Anyone who has pain/discomfort!
I typically work a lot with chronic pain patients that have been through the system and haven't found a long-term solution. I also help coach individuals through acute pain flare-ups, getting them back to their activities as soon as possible.
With animals, I apply similar principles and develop plans to help improve comfort and strength through discipline-specific tasks. In addition, I assist family pets to feel more comfortable and confident with daily activities such as walking, climbing stairs, and jumping.
There really isn't a significant difference in what we can do to help you in-person vs virtually. It comes down to personal preference and comfort. Some patients like in-person manual therapy, and some prefer to remain in the comfort of their home. You will learn how to work towards your goals through a guided program, but in a 'self-directed' manner. We will still conduct a thorough history and physical exam via a secure and private 'telehealth' platform, and then develop an individual plan to help conquer your goals. This can be achieved as long as you have a smartphone or computer and internet.
